Dr. Daniel Hiersche, M.D.
Dr. Dan Hiersche is a native of the Pacific Northwest. He was born in Portland, Oregon and after a short stay in Walla Walla, moved with his family to Pendleton, Oregon where he enjoyed living and working in his parent’s nursing home.
He left Pendleton for his undergraduate work at Walla Walla College from 1972-1976. He then went to Loma Linda University where he completed Loma Linda University Medical School and graduated in 1979. His internship and orthopedic residency were also completed at Loma University Medical Center.
Following completion of his residency, he had the opportunity to participate in an AO Foot Fellowship at Harborview Hospital, Seattle, WA under the direction of Dr. Sigvard Hansen. He then worked for six months as a junior attending physician at San Bernardino County Medical Center an affiliate of Loma Linda University Medical Center Orthopedic Program.
Dr. Hiersche moved to Ellensburg in 1985 and has practiced here continuously since then. He is on staff at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital where he was Chief of Staff from 1992-1994. On 9/10/11, he married his long-time friend Julie Carns and they are busy working on updating and remodeling their new home.
